Following Jesus as a Servant of People
Show Notes

Jesus said that He came not to be served but to serve and offer His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45). If we will follow Jesus, we will serve others too. Serving others in our era presents challenges. How do we serve people who seem self-sufficient, independent, and for whom accepting help may be viewed as a weakness? Join us this Sunday as we see from God’s Word what it means to love others by serving them. We also ordain and install new Elders and Deacons this Sunday. The Deacon’s role is primarily one of service which is the theme of this week’s service. [You may wish to read and reflect on what Jesus teaches us about service when He washes the disciples feet before we gather for worship on Sunday (John 13:1-17, 34-35.)] The Elder’s role is primarily one of shepherding and will be theme of next week’s service.
